We always look forward to recieving our packages. We get so excited once our much awaited purchase finally arrives especially if you are a collector like me. I like to purchase fine porcelain and crystal collectibles from ebay.  I can't wait to open the packages and add something new to my collection. However, there are times when items arrive in a condition you least expect. Much worse, it's frustrating if the fragile item you have bid on painstakingly and ordered arrived broken into pieces.  Such a precious loss at times.

I also sell fragile items on ebay.  So far, I have been successful in packaging them. Arriving safely to its recipient. Thank GOD.  Packaging is very important especially for sellers. If you want to get that positive feedback and avoid added stress. If you want repeat customers. Here are a few pointers I'd like to share with everyone especially sellers.  Packing fine porcelain. Make sure item is wrapped several times with bubblewrap. Three times around the porcelain item or figurine should be enough depending on the thickness of your bubblewrap or tissue. If  using paper, do more than three rounds. Then place peanuts inside the box, around, top and under of the wrapped item. Make sure the item is in the center of all the cushioning. Fill the box  to the brim with peanuts. This is so, to secure the item. Otherwise your fragile item will have room to move or shake around. It has to be secure and intact. Then seal the box and don't forget to mark the box fragile so that mail carrier will be careful with your package.

For multiple fragile items. Do the same by wrapping each porcelain or crystal several times with bubblewrap and get a larger box and do not let each item rub against each other. Put peanuts in between each item. Sometimes I tape the peanuts to the pointed edges of each figurine on top of the bubblewrap so that they do not rub against each other. This is effective especially for Precious Moments figurines.

For crystal items. The best way is to double box them. You still  have to wrap the fine crystal several times with bubblewrap of course. And place peanuts all around the box. If it has the original box with styrofoam, then you can do without the bubblewrap. But please double box the item. Place peanuts, foam or plenty of crumpled paper around, on top and under the second box placing the original box in the center.

If you pack your merchandise with great care, your customers will be pleased and your selling a sucess. May this guide be helpful to all sellers out there.
