Ebay is a great place to find authentic Coach bags and accessories. There is always such a wide variety to chose from and have excellent quality. I have a great love for these addictive items that I sell them as well. I usually trust my seller and hope that the item is true to the listing and not an imposter but I have had one item that was not real. I received the item and was so excited that I found a "one of a kind"  bag  that noone else could possibly have. I hurried up and called Coach to register my bag when they told me the register number( found on the inside of all their bags)  was to a straw hobo.FAKE! FAKE!FAKE!FAKE! Well, I emailed the seller and told him of my finding and he refunded my money. Some sellers are great about handling these situations. Right then and there I decided not to let this happen again. I talked with a Coach manager when I was on vacation and she told me how to decipher between the authentic and the fake. Take out your  paper and pens and keep this for future reference:

Rule 1. COAH DOES NOT WHOLESALE TO ANYONE!!!!!! This is the biggest misconception about Coach. They only send bags unsold in their stores to certain department and Coach outlet stores such as Marshall Fields, Macy's, Loehmanns and T J. Maxx.

Rule 2.  COACH ITEMS ARE MADE OF GENUINE LEATHER OR OTHER MATERIAL OF HIGH QUALITY!!!!  There is no comparison to real leather and the other stuff. If it feels like you can tear it like a piece of paper, then ofcourse its fake.

Rule 3. YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET A LIMITED EDITION COACH BAG FOR 30.00!!!!!  Most people who sell and own Coach bags, Limited Editions or higher priced ones, know that they hold their value immaculately. These are the top of the line, the creme de la creme of Coach bags and are not going to let them go without getting close to what they paid for them; unless you are Paris Hilton!

Rule 4. THE SIGNATURE BAGS ALL FOLLOW A CERTAIN PATTERN!!!!  You can look at both sides of the bag and follow the pattern of the C's and they should be uniform. Sometimes they are not, especially when you get to corners and handles but for the most part they always are.

Rule5. READ ALL FEEDBACK AVAILABLE AND MAKE SURE YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH THE SELLER!!! Ask all of the questions  you can. Most sellers will be more than happy to answer what they can. Having a return policy is also a plus because if you don't like it you can get a refund. All selllers don't offer refunds and are still just as great as those that do so ASK QUESTIONS!!!

Rule 6. CALL COACH AND THEY WILL VERIFY FOR YOU!!!!!! If the seller is a good seller then they will be happy to give you the register number located on the inside of the bag. Call them at their 800 number and they will tell you what you want to know . 

Rule 7. IF YOU STILL AREN'T SURE............ DON'T BUY IT!!!!! Enough said.
