Jenny Dale has written a very cute, lovable series of books that all deal with what I call 'pooches in peril', each with a different breed (or breeds) as the main 'puppy with a problem' with the people at the King Street Kennels coming to the rescue in each book.  They're written for children, but any true dog lover would enjoy these.

One reason I got so interested in them originally is the gorgeous artwork on each cover.  They are masterfully done by illustrator Michael Rowe and really show off each puppy.  From collies, to Jack Russell terriers, to beagles, dalmatians, Irish setters and more, each has its own personality and beauty.
