"Printed" Music is listed WHERE?
Looking for printed music on eBay? Confused because you're looking under Music and only finding recorded music on tapes, CDs, etc? Try searching the "Musical Instruments" category, which is where eBay lists all printed music. Yes, it seems illogical, especially since all other classification systems use the general category MUSIC, but this IS eBay.
Hopefully this guide will better help you locate the printed music you are looking for!
The Musical Instruments Category
Under the Musical Instruments category, note the subcategories for items such as Electronic Equipment, Guitars, Brass, Pianos, percussion, etc. These items are either musical instruments or items relating to the playing or repair of musical instruments. Then note the subcategory entitled "Sheet Music, Songbooks" - this is where the bulk of PRINTED music is listed on eBay.
On a typical search, you'll note that there may be 180,000 items listed under the subcategory Sheet Music, Songbooks. Generally, there are 90,000 items in Songbooks and 90,000 in Sheet Music.
Select "Sheet Music" and note the subcategories listed:

Blues, Jazz
Christian, Gospel - this is typically where you will find choral sheet music listed
Christmas Carols
Classical
Country, Western
Hawaiian
Instrumental Collections
Military, Historical
Movies, TV
New Age

Under the "Songbooks" subcategory, you'll find:
Brass and Woodwind

Piano
String Instruments
Other Instruments
The songbook category may contain music specifically written or arranged for a musical instrument, i.e. Top Trumpet Solos, or High School Musical arranged for solo flute. The guitar category has items such as tab books, while the piano category often has songbooks arranged for piano, vocal and guitar (often abbreviated as P/V/G in titles).
If you are looking for instrumental music, also check out the Instructional Books, CDs, Videos subcategory, which also contains guitar tab books, music lesson books and other instructional materials for a variety of instruments, INCLUDING voice.
