Let me first say that this is not a really, really bad tv, but then again, it does not rate anything above fair in my opinion for many reasons.
Although this tv is advertised as HDTV, and it will in fact receive a 1080 signal, it is a standard 4:3 aspect ratio. Every advertisement picture I've seen for this tv indicates that it is a wide screen but this is definately not true. Picture quality is on par with other low cost lcd screens and the tv also provides decent stereo sound.
The worst thing about this tv is that it is SLOW to respond to commands, either by the remote or control buttons located on top of the unit. A red indicator light comes on when the tv is plugged into an outlet. When the power button is depressed, the light changes to blinking green. There is a noticeable delay of a few seconds before the indicator changes to steady green and a screen appears. This delay becomes more prevailant, and annoying, each time you change channels. Additionally, the screen goes completely blank, then blinks before the picture reappears, a process that takes about two seconds. I found myself talking to the tv in a futile attempt to make it work faster. Channel surfing is not a strong point for this unit but that is not why I bought four of these. I bought them to use as color monitors for a pc-based cctv security system. It is in this job that the Prima L1510 performs admirably. The L1510 comes with CATV, VGA, COMPONENT AND COMPOSIT inputs, on-screen menu, i.r. remote control and tilt stand. The stand is easily removed if you choose to use the VESA 100 mounting points for wall hanging.
As a primary tv, the L1510 falls short but as a cctv monitor or even as a secondary tv in a guest room, this tv is acceptable if you can overlook the serious shortcomings of this Chinese import.
