All the following photos are of Prada bags sold right here on eBay.  The latest scam is for a seller to not explicitly state one way or the other if the bag is genuine or replica.  You will get the distinct impression that the bag is authentic Prada, and pay a designer price for a cheap knock-off.  If you realize the bag is fake when you receive it, your money will be promptly refunded, but the seller hopes you won't notice and will certainly keep your money if you don't.

In other words:  BUYER BEWARE.  It may not be illegal, but it's certainly UNETHICAL.  Many members have been duped in this way!

LOGO PLATE LETTERING:

The #1 difference to look for between fake and real Prada is the "R" on the exterior logo-plate.  If there's no squiggled indentation at the top of the right-extending leg of the R, IT'S FAKE!  Also notice the difference in shape and size of the lettering; especially the slant of the serifs at the top of the letters.

LOGO PLATE COLOR:

Prada almost always matches the color of the logo plate with the color of the bag.  Sometimes it contrasts if there's contrasting trim on the bag.  LOOK AT THE "R" TO BE SURE!

INTERIORS:

Prada interior logo plates say "Prada Made in Italy" EXACTLY and ONLY!  A real one will NEVER have the extra word "Milano", or just "Prada".  Also look for the word "Prada" woven into the lining fabric in a horizontal pattern.  Some bags are lined with leather; check the "R" and wording of the interior logo plate to be sure!

AUTHENTICITY MATERIALS:

If item is listed at New With Tags, or authenticity materials are offered, there should be a white fabric dustbag and 2 cards. Hanging tags on the bag are fake!
