                                 BLACK/RED is the same as PURPLE/RED and will last as long=======False  Purple tends t last longer because when it fades purple goes to blue---------BUT WHEN BLACK fades it goes to grey and our eyes do not focus on it.   IF  YOU CAN SWITCH TO    PURPLE/RED   OR ALL PURPLE>>>>>.........

Does the type of paper matter in deciding if the ribbons last longer.  NO but the brighter the paper (WHITE BOND) it will contrast any color better than a blended bond.
