Perfect Example Plus Size Jean - Lane Bryant!

It is very confusing to most people about the difference between Plus Sized and Misses Clothing from sizes 14-20 as well as  XL, XXL vs. 1X,2X.  Although the labels may only say size 14-20 or XL and XXL on many brands, the models used for sizing are very different between the two categories. Plus sized women are shaped very differently than Misses sized women! Most often, Plus clothing is made for bustier shapes as well as larger waistlines and tummies. If the item's label says 14W-28W, 1X-5X or PLUS, then you can be sure it's a Plus size. Some brands such as Lane Bryant/Venezia is a PLUS size label and only manufactures Plus sized womens clothing, so there should be no confusion. Old Navy ladies clothing seems to present great confusion here on Ebay. Old Navy female sizes are Children's (Girls), Misses (sizes in EVEN numbers as well as XS-XXL), and Womens Plus (PLUS Sizes 14-26 Womens Plus, 14W-26W, 1X-3X). Old Navy does not sell Junior sizes, which would be ODD numbered jeans. EBay's categories are confusing because for Misses, it only shows up to size 16, and puts sizes 18 and 20 into their Plus category. These are not necessarily Plus sizes unless the tags say Old Navy Womens Plus. As I stated before, two completely different fitting models are used for their patterns. There is also a difference in cut between a size XXL (Misses) & 2X (Womens Plus). They are not intended to be equivalent in sizing. In addition, I have seen sellers put up items in XL that are Girls, which they believe is a Misses size, which it is not. The size difference is HUGE! The best recommendation I have to offer, when buying Ladies clothing in sizes 14 through 20, is to refer to the measurements or ask the seller what is written on the label. Don't be disappointed! Take our advice, and be happy with your purchase. We spend alot of time, measuring twice, when we sell all of our clothing items. As with all clothing items from any manufacturer, sizing in not the same between all brands.
