Please be cautious when bidding on 1 gram platinum bars. It takes over 31 grams to make one ounce. If you pay $70 for a 1 gram platinum bar it is like paying over $2181.00/ounce for platinum.That is $1300 more than one full ounce at melt value ($857.00) as of this posting (10/18/08).  Don't be suckered in. Suggest you buy graded and certified $10 platinum American Eagles which contain over 3.1 grams pure platinum and are selling for a small premium over melt value.  Best bets are to stick with coins graded and certified by PCGS, NGC, ICG, or ANACS.
