Seeds should be planted indoors approximately one month before last frost.
Score seeds with a knife or file just deep enough to see white inside.
Place seeds in a cup of water and allow to soak for 48 hours or intil they swell with water.
After soaking, plant seeds in pots, one inch deep with peat moss only. Keep moist at all times but not saturated until plants have sprouted two leaves and are approximately two inches in height. Indirect sunlight is best at this time.
Once are are 3 - 4 inches high plant into four inch pot ( one seed per pot) and allow them to grow until you see the roots emerging from the holes in the bottom of pot.
You may now plant your Cannas outside or in large pots.
They will now begin to grow quite rapidly and will do best in full sunlight. Water regularly.
