The purpose of this guide is to share my small collection with you and help you to get started on your own.  I will try to give you some pointers for finding the bottles and deciding what to buy.

I have always been attracted to anything doll sized.. So, the tiny bottles are just a normal thing for me.  I don't remember the first one.  I may have gleaned it from my own perfume bottle stash..  I don't necessarily collect the bottles, but I really love perfume. Sometimes you can find these tiny bottles when you buy a sampler.. It will have 3 or 4 different aromas in a set .  That's a great way to start.  You can find these in most department stores. HOWEVER.. these can get expensive.

Of course, start right away by searching around Ebay.. As the demand goes, so will the listings.  I have found them at garage sales, antique stores, doll shows and never forget the free ones you can beg from friends and family.  Soon, your French Fashion doll will have a lovely perfume bottle collection..

After you have accumulated a few, you might want to start only collecting empty ones...or full ones... or only french perfume ones.  You can make your collection uniquely your own.The picture here is of my collection

SIZE:  I try to keep sizes equivalent to life size.. For instance.. Most French Fashions are 6-8 heads tall.  I will use my 17 inch FG fashion for the example.. She is 17 inches tall.. 2.83 inches equals approx. 1 foot life size.  I think the sizes of the bottles would be about the same for any fashion doll between 16 and 20 inches.. But, you will see how to adjust for size.

This little blue glass bottle is encased in a silver jacket.. I think the turquoise on top is fake.. Next to it is a funnel.. Both are marked made in France.

This bottle is 1 3/8 inches tall.   So, therefore in real life the bottle would be about 6 inches tall.

This one, I think is stainless steel.  It is also 1 3/8 inches tall.

My smallest bottle is 1 inch and would would be around 3 inches life sized.

The absolute largest bottle you would want for this size doll is 3 inches tall.. Which would make it  12 inches tall in real life..  Now, there may be larger ones, but that's the largest I've seen.. That is a HUGE bottle.. Probably holds 1/2 gallon of perfume!

One of my largest is this one.. And it reminds me of the Champs-Elysees, so that's why I have it..  It is 1.75 inches wide..  Which would be, again, about 6 inches wide.  Imagine that on your dresser.. That would be a pretty big bottle..Width and circumference, well, you will just have to determine with the mind's eye to keep the right size.    We do want to stay smaller if we can.

These "taller" bottles are only 2.5 inches tall.. making them near that max. of 12 inches  in real life.

PRICES:

I have bought these for as little as .05 cents and as much as $30(which is, by the way, my limit).  To pay that much for a bottle, it will have to be rare or a very expensive perfume.  You may wish to pay more. My little glass cabinet is perfect for her collection.. These can be found(probably on Ebay) or at Hobby stores and Gift shops.

I constantly upgrade..  When your little cabinet gets full, you will want to weed out the less desireable, so you can add a nicer one.

It is a fun thing to collect and most everyone can find them in their price range.

Hope you have enjoyed this little guide.
