I currently read an article on PCGS & NGC and how the market perceives the inflated value of a graded coin in a PCGS holder vs. a similar coin graded in an NGC holder. I have been buying & selling for years and I can quite honestly say that if you want the best bang for you buck, buy NGC slab graded coins. I've submitted to both over the years and found that they are very similar as far as their grading criteria. I had a 62 P Franklin graded from NGC about 6 months ago thinking this is a no brainer MS65 or even 66 FBL. When I got it back I was disappointed to see the NGC MS64FBL grade. I couldn't believe it. The coin is virtually flawless so I removed it and submitted to PCGS. Guess what, I got it back from PCGS, it graded MS65 FBL. WOW!!! What a difference & I knew this coin was better than the MS64 FBL grade NGC gave me. So if you're wondering what grading company is better, well I think they both have thier days however, I think as a buyer, your best value is definately NGC graded coins.
