We found ourselves confused on which one is which that we should buy to start building up our PC. Here I'll try to give some best advice when you want to start building up a PC:
1. DO NOT RUSH YOURSELF
Many people are rushing in this technology world to just buy and buy without thinking of what they buy. You can actually save total up to $300 if you can find the BEST deals out there. There are many options of websites out there you can find deal on such as BensBargains, FatWallet, eBay, TechGeek, etc. So far, you can find many good deals through eBay, but now the questions is "Which one is it?" because there are many sellers on eBay too! Well, you can try different stuff, you check the price out online first to see how much is it sold RETAIL, and then start looking for things through eBay. REMEMBER! Check out the PRICE + SHIPPING! Often, people don't see what they're bidding for and having so much fun in bidding without realization that they're even bidding on something that is worth more expensive than the retail price. Sometimes people also do not see how much do they have to pay for the shipping. However, remember to see what's the rules and policy from the eBay sellers, whether they offer a return or not, insurance, etc. Be Careful and read carefully before you start bidding!
2. WHAT'S THIS PC FOR?
Is it going to be for programming? Do you already have all of the software needed? Does the price includes the software? What are peripheral you need to start programming? You need to start to answering all of these questions before you start buying and making the specification because there are many people that just think on how good and amazing their PC is. For example: If you're just going to buy this PC for your 10 years old daughter in elementary school, then I believe you won't ever need to have 2GB of RAM. Well, I'm talking an obvious thing for an illustration purpose only :)
3. HOW MUCH IS YOUR BUDGET
A person that have 1000$ budget and 500$ would make a lot difference on how do they want to build their PC with. If you have more budget, you are more likely to have better PC. BUT, that doesn't mean that all of the peripheral are good to be combined. Some of the peripheral are not as better if it is combined with other peripheral. Here I give some example, ASUS P4T had an excellent performance when it is combined with the first Pentium 4 1.5GHZ; The speed of RAM of DUAL CHANNEL 1GB is faster than if you are NOT using dual channel on 1.25GB; CPU Cooler with the cheaper price can make a better difference than the more expensive one! That's why sometimes we can see a person with the less budget can build a better PC than the person that have more budget.
4. RESEARCH, READ REVIEWS
When you want to start building up your PC, you need to know all of the terms that is used on how to specify one part is different than another. And of course! Find out how would it make the difference? I think the best way to find that out is from Reviews from users, and Reviews from the editor of an magazines. I personally prefer to read it only from Tom's Hardware. But I found out that PC World is not that helpful as other magazines. You can also always be able to ask questions from Bulletin Boards which I always found very helpful. It can be from any bulletin boards, such as AnAndTech, Geek, or may be... the most interesting part is EBAY! :D Remember! There are many sources out there, it's all up to your preferance on which one it is.
Thank you for reading my guide and please rate it 'Yes' when you found it is helpful. Thank you very much HAPPY BUILDING UP PC!!!!
