P90X Really Works! Bottom Line!!!

I am a thirty four year old male and have been doing P90X for 9 months.  All I acn say is if you are dedicated and follow the program, exercise and diet, IT WORKS!!!  There is one catch, you have to DIET and EXERCISE together.  One does nothing without the other.  The workouts are designed for six or seven days a week, depending on the individual.  Honestly I usually only work out five days a week, dieting all seven days though.  I am absolutely pl;eased with the results.  I am 5'10" and weighed 192 lbs.  i wasn't fat but I was overweight for my height.  I was waht you would call skinny fat.  I had very little muscle tone or definition.  Now I weigh 170 lbs and have plenty of muscle tone!  I am not affiliated with P90X or beach body in any way, I just want those of you who are considering buying P90X to know it really does work!  Just be ready for some extreme workouts.  you don't need any fancy equipment or even alot of room.  All you need is a set of dumbbells and a resistance band to start.  As you get into it you will accumulate more and more stuff. you'll see!  But if your not serious, save your money!  Beach Body's slogan is "Decide, Commit, Succeed".  If you can get yourself to do the three of those, you will be impressed!  Tony Horton talks about recovery drink throughout all his workouts.  Of course they want you to buy their brand but you can also use Endurox from GNC.  It really helps.  I hope this helps to clarify a little bit and maybe even motivate you to give it a try, because agin, IT REALLY DOES WORK!  If anyone wants to see any pics or has any questions, feel free to contact me.

 

Just wanted to update my review for those of you with questions. I have had the system now for a year and a half.  I must admit I lost focus for a while.  I am a big NY Giants fan so the more games we won, the more celebrating i did!  We know how that goes!  Anyway, I'm back into and doing better than ever.  When you first start, you will probably, or more definitely will not, be able to keep up with the people on the video.  They are in incredible shape and have obviously been doing P90X for a LOOONG while.  But don't be discouraged.  Whether you believe it or not, you too will soon be doing pull-ups and push-ups beyond your wildest expectations.  I went from a set of 10 lb dumbells to a whole rack up to 50 lbs!  As you do the workouts, they usually do alot of reps, depending on the video you're watching.  You don't need to keep up with them just do as many as you can and eventually you will keep up with them.  You really need to push yourself to your limit and beyond.  I recently went to a job related traing course and found out where the "mind over matter" saying comes from.  When you are working out and you feel you need to stop, unless it's your muscles giving out, you don't really need to stop.  That 's your mind telling you to stop.  You can push yourself beyond that point by concentrating on your breathing rather than the actual exercise you are doing.  Try it, it works!

On to the other Subject, THE DIET!  The word diet doesn't necessarily mean eat less, it means eat smart.  Follow the P90X nutrition plan one way or another(Portion approach/meal plan) and you have completed the P90X package.  You really can't do one without the other.  You can work out and eat whatever crap you want, but your gonna fatigue quickly during your workout because your body is not getting the right fuel.  On the other hand you can diet all you want but only workout a day a week and you will not see any results.  Do them together and BAM results in one month!  Think of it this way, for three months you feed your "body" not your "mind".  Eat whats good for your body not what tastes good to your mind.  After the three months you can cheat here and there and you'll be allright.  But you probably will not want to.  After eating right for three months and learning what is good for you and what is bad, you will not cheat very often.

All the P90X workouts kinda blend together so try not to skip any and follow the regimen.  The chest and back helps the arms and shoulders.  The ply helps the kenpo which helps the yoga.  They all help burn fat and the ab ripper.... wel that just kicks your $%# but it's the best.  Your losing fat and at the same time your tightening and pulling in your stomache muscles.  Thats results.  Thats actually a big reason why people have such big stomaches. it;'s a combination of the fat and the weak stomache muscles.  When you work the muscles directly and burn the fat at the same time, you can't help but get results.
