Okay, we've all seen those, "Too good to be true" deals on eBay. But...did you happen to look at the shipping price!!!???
I recently was in the market for an mp3 player for my nephew...i looked on eBay and saw one for a PENNY! As i read the description, and checked on the shipping, there was NO price for shipping..i contacted the seller and asked how much shipping was to my zip code CHEAPEST method.
Their response was, " all our mp3 players are shipped for $89.99 flat rate. Thanks."..
I was MAD!! These are the type of sellers that lower the price and raise the shipping so that they don't have to pay as high ebay fees...DON't they realize how many bidders they lose because of their dishonesty?! They lost this one!
DO give a shipping price in your listing.
DO NOT inflate shipping charges. A $1-$3 handling fee is okay if the item you are shipping took a lot of time to package and secure..but to stick a dvd in a mailer shouldn't be that big of a deal.
I guess I'm just stuck in the way of thinking that I'm honest, and therefore, everyone else is...boy,...i have a lot of eye opening to do to myself!
BEFORE YOU BID...ask questions...VERIFY shipping to your zip code..(some sellers will lower the price if you email and ask them ACTUAL shipping to (your zip).
BEFORE YOU LIST....Always give a fair shipping price and make sure the bidder can SEE it without asking you...a lot of times, if a bidder sees no shipping price, they will hit that back button faster than you can say "eBay!"
Good Luck.
