Reference to Michelle Roux's comments in "Reviews and Guides of April 10, 2006", was concerning "Selling a Family Bible". Within the past year and a half, there was a Family Bible listed in ebay to be auctioned. The Bible belonged to a South Carolina family in the late 1700 and early 1800's. The notations noted the surnames of Cain, Kennedy and another name I have forgotten. My third great-grandfather [Michael Cain] had a daughter named Catherine Cain, who possibly married Jesse Kennedy and lived in the Abbeville District during the above-mentioned time frame.
Alluding to this Family Bible, I made some bids on this auction up until the last two hours or so. I had to do some errands. Upon my return, I noticed that I had out-bid.
Having stating my circumstances, are there any avenues that might be explored to contact the seller and seek if he/she might provide me with the information noted in this Bible? I will pay any reasonable fee to obtain the information I am seeking.
Thanking anyone in advance for his or her time and consideration.
