I Love E-Bay and how it has brought the World together where we all work together and communicate when we shop, or sell as a group. There are so many facets in E-Bay to take advantage of, it is almost endless; i.e. buying that last minute Christmas gift for Mom. Get education from E-Bay (and E-Bay Members!) to learn how and what to sell to help make supplemental income for ourselves and our families. Or, like myself, and the subject of this Guide, continuing to search for a particular subject of items that I have been accumulating over more than half of my life, and I speak of buying for and expanding a Collection.
First off, there is no better place to start than E-Bay. I have found a virtual treasure trove of information from very friendly Sellers that are more than eager to help me with obtaining more pieces of work for my growing collection of Stephen King publications and other subject matter.
There are a few things I thought might be helpful to others, if they are pursuing a Collection tha I have learned in a very short time.
The very first thing I did was create a Search Specific Name of Item/Person and I saved this search as one of my favorites and checked to be notified by e-mail when new items were listed. I sort my search by earliest item finishing auction, however, sort in any fashion that is convenient for you.
On the right side of the Search is sub-levels of my main subject. now can look at more refined areas to narrow my records.
Once I start to buy items I find Sellers that specialize in just my interest and they also have given me invaluable information to be found on the Web that has literally brought me to my Author's front gate!!!
Organization is a must and don't buy on impulse!! I have done this several times before I finally learned my lesson.
I know this is not very "flashy" but I hope this helps some of you. We have a wonderful tool here (and support staff too) to utilize and a World full of people to share information with.
Happy Hunting
