Ever package your items before you sell them? We all have! And we all run into the same problems. A customer ask a question about that particular item, then you have to go and un wrap it just to answer the question.
One way I have found to solve this problem is to keep a "selling" and "shipping" shelf in my "ebay room". Now, true- not everyone can dedicate a whole room or even 2 shelves just for organizing the things you are selling; but you can dedicate on shelving unit and organize each self accordingly. For example. Top shelf- things that are currently "selling" or listed on your ebay auctions. Second shelf- sold or "shipping"- this is usually where I go ahead and have things wrapped and packaged and addressed ready to go for the next days mailing. You can however, keep them unwrapped until you actually get paid, then you will not run into having to unpack everything again, say if someone flakes out to pay you.
I also have an additional shelf for things that I "need to post". These are things that I either haven't gotten around to posting or rather, just haven't taken pictures of yet.
Keeping things organized makes selling on ebay run so much smoother and less stressfull.
