Ordering from home  and getting the propper size is as easy as knowing what size you currently wear and reading below.

Most women's styles start at size 5, however MOST  Brands start at size 5½ or 6 . Most styles are available in half sizes from 6 to 10, and many are available in size 11. Many brands do not offer size 10½ these are rare. Many women's slippers and casual styles are available in whole sizes only from 6 to 10. If you wear a half size and only whole sizes are available, we recommend ordering the next size up unless otherwise noted. many styles are available in standard width B only.

Most men's styles start at size 7, however MOST  Brands start at size 8. Most styles are available in half sizes from 8 to 12, and whole sizes 12 and 13. Many casuals and ATHLETICS are available in whole sizes 14 and 15 as well. Many men's styles are available in whole sizes only from 7 to 13. If you wear a half size and only whole sizes are available, we recommend ordering the next size up unless otherwise noted. Many mens styles are available in standard width D only.

Although the industry strives to provide consistent sizing across product lines, some  brands and styles may run smaller or larger.

You may also purchase inexpensive accessories such as insoles and heelgrips these items can
add comfort and increase the size range you can wear.
Example you may wear a size 8 B but you realy like this certain pair of shoes but it is not available
in a size 8 B only a 8.5 B or a 8 wide you could purchase either of these sizes and add a cushioned insole to give you the propper fit and added comfort. This little trick can be used to wear
up to a size range of 3 sizes and 2 widths. Using a combination of accessories in this manner
would be the same type of custom fit you might get at a better department store where they
still have customer service people who will help you get the propper fit.

On rare occasions you will find for sale shoes of different sizes for instance a size 5 left shoe and a size 5.5 right shoe , or a 5 medium left shoe and a 5 wide right shoe. This is not always a bad thing. We all have different size feet usually the dominant hand decides wich is bigger but not always.
When you get a pair of these missmates or nearmates as we call them in the shoe business they can sometimes fit like a custom pair and with the addition of an insole or heel grip in the larger shoe
you can you can get a $300.00 pair of shoes for pennies on the dollar.

There is only 1/16th inch difference in length for a half size.
