There has been only one department issued Orange County Ranger badge. It's a solid back pinched shield with blue reverse blue hard enamel lettering and a color county seal with the lettering PARK RANGER BEACHES - PARKS. It has a solid back and hallmarked Entenmann-Rovin. The number tab either had a number, or a number preceeded by an "R" for reserve.
Prior to this badge many of the park employees were issued an Orange County Deputy Sheriff badge with an added panel at the top with a job title and a number at the bottom.
There is a department authorized 25th anniversary badge that looks much like the orange county sheriff badge made of Blackinton Gol-tone, with 25th Anniversary on an added panel at the top, a state seal and PARK RANGER ORANGE COUNTY CALIFORNIA.
There are a number of other styles of badges that were designed and used for special occasions and displays produced by two reserve rangers who were badge collectors. None of these were authorized nor issued by the department.
