American Colonial is available in five piece placesettings or individual pieces. You may also purchase a serving set (serving fork, serving knife and Pierced serving spoon) or a hostess set (sugar spoon , serving ladle and serving spoon) There are also many specialty pieces available: cocktail fork, ice tea spoons, bouillon spoons, round bowl soup spoons and casserole spoons.

For a well stocked set, you should buy at least 12 placesettings in your pattern. It would be good to have at least 8-12 extra teaspoons.  Be sure to have a few serving spoons and at least one each of the hostess and serving set to insure that you will set a beautiful table for formal dinners or just for everyday.

To care for your American Colonial flatware you should be careful but it is dishwasher safe.  You should always wash and dry your flatware in but take extra care with your knife blades.  It is important to wash the knives promptly after use and dry immeidiately. Do not store in plastic that can trap moisture. Keep knives and away from extreme heat or open flame.    

American Colonial is considered a "Classic Pattern" from Oneida and it is a limited availability pattern. That means that not all pieces are always available. eBay is a wonderful way to get the pieces you need for your set!  There are many sellers on eBay that carry American Colonial and you should be able to completely fill in your set very easily by shopping on eBay.
