Before I started selling Cigar Star humidors and accessories on e-bay, I read every review and checked almost every listing.  Reviews and guides can help you better understand the product.  In this case, it's humidors and it can be confusing. 

One of the most important features of a humidor is kiln dried Spanish cedar lining inside the humidor.  If properly seasoned it will enhance the taste of your fine collection of cigars, and help in the aging process of your cigars.  Cigars are like most fine wines, when they are aged properly they just get better!

I noticed many humidors being sold on e-bay claim to have Spanish cedar or don't even mention it.  However, just by looking at the wood inside of their photos I can tell that they are lined with cheap birch, or maple!  Spanish cedar has a red tinge to the wood.

Below is a competitor's humidor that clearly is NOT lined with Spanish cedar.

The difference between the two humidors is dramatic.  Store your fine collection of cigars in humidor A, and your cigars would be in the worst environment possible.

As important as spanish cedar is, so is a quality seal of the lid.  If you store your cigars in a humidor with a poor seal your cigars will dry up, crack, and not draw properly.  A perfect seal maintains the proper humidity level inside the humidor - similar to the tropical paradise in which most exquisite cigars are grown and rolled.

How do you test if your humidor has a perfect seal?  Easy, when you lift the lid and drop it back down to close, it should close without a sound, as it should vacuum seal when closed.  If you hear a sound of any kind of wood hitting each other, this means your seal is poor.  Every Cigar Star humidor is tested  for it's seal before shipping.  If it doesn't seal properly, it doesn't get shipped.

The exterior of the humidor is  totally up to your personal test in furniture.  After all, a quality humidor will last for years given proper care.  The Cigar Star line is known for its unique and stylish designs.  So now you can have both - style and quality!

You can spend very little on e-bay for a fake humidor.  Keep in mind what it will cost if you put your fine collection of cigars in a cheap humidor, and they end up being tossed away because they weren't properly stored.
