Seems like the Paypal scams are getting more creative and varied. The latest one I received today says I added a new email account to Paypal and should click on a link if I did not authorize this. This is the first time I've seen this variation. Other popular paypal fake emails schemes include:
1. You have just purchased something outrageously expensive, please click on the link to cancel (some of these even include links to legitimate web sites and well known products)
2. Your Paypal account security has been compromised.
3. We are conducting an audit and found ......
4. You have recent activity on your account from an unknown location outside of your own country.
If you ever receive an email, you can verify whether Paypal sent it by forwarding the email immediately to spoof @ paypal . com (leave out the spaces). Paypal usually responds within a few minutes via email to let you know whether the email was a fake or not. You can also sign on to Paypal by entering their address directly into your web browser and checking up on whatever was supposedly stated in the email.
May you always stay safe and secure in all your eBay and Paypal buying and selling.
