The Olympic Queen (sometimes called an Expanded Queen) is a relatively new mattress size which is rapidly gaining popularity in the bedding market.  Simply put, it is a mattress that is 6 inches wider than a traditional Queen size mattress.  A traditional queen mattress measures 60" wide by 80" long.  An Olympic Queen is 66" wide by 80" long, making an Olympic Queen is 10% wider!  The Olympic Queen is gaining popularity so quickly because many of us can not fit a King size bed in our room or do not want a bed quite that large.  In most instances, if you can fit a traditional Queen size bed, then you will be able to accomodate an Olympic Queen!!
