Offer Gift Wrapping Services

Whether you charge for it or offer it for free, consider offering Gift Wrapping Services to your buyers.

You can keep it simple or go all out with ribbons and bows (whatever fits your budget).  Don't be afraid to get funky with your wrapping.  Make gift wrap fun for kids by wrapping with newspaper comics!

You can offer it only during the holiday season or year round.

Gift Wrapping Ideas:

1.  Use Brown/White Craft Paper.

Dress it down by adding a bow or tie string.  Or dress it up by using it as a canvas.  Use stamps, stencils, ribbons, bows, you name it to create one of a kind gift wrapping.

2.  Use Clear Plastic Cellophane & Colored Tissue.

First wrap the gift with colored tissue paper, then wrap in a large piece of cellophane.  You can add stickers or other decorative touches to glam it up.

3.  Use Gift Bags.

Get solid color or festive looking bags.  Stuff with contrasting tissue paper.  Place the gift inside the bag and tie the handles with a ribbon and/or a gift tag.

4. Use Regular Gift Wrap

At the end of the season, buy gift wrap in bulk at discounted prices.  Wrap gifts as usual and ship out in a protective box.  Always use a protective box, as with handling your pretty packaging won't arrive looking the way you first mailed it.  Be on the lookout for unusual or one of a kind types of gift wrap to set your gifts apart from the rest.

5. Use Newspaper Cartoons.

Take the cartoon section of your newspaper and use as wrapping paper.  You can choose from black and white to color.  Look for the Sunday paper, as they usually have a larger cartoon section.

6. Use Pre-Designed Decorative Boxes.

You can get predesigned decorative boxes at your local post office or crafts store.  Simply put the item into the box, seal, and mail.  Flimsy clothing boxes should be reinforced by additional packaging (Place inside a sturdy box for shipping).

7. Use Self-Designed Boxes.

You can get plain white or brown boxes from your local craft store.  Paint, Stencil, Draw, or Collage your boxes for a unique, personal touch.  When using this method, make sure that your artwork has time to dry before packaging your items.  Also wrap the box in clear plastic to avoid moisture damaging the box and it's contents.
