I tried to get the seller to follow one of the two shipping options specified in its listing for a Blackberry Pearl 8100.
Immediately after making the purchase, I sent them 3 emails, each by a different route, to ensure that they sent the phone by USPS rather than by UPS.
UPS charges excessive brokerage fees which I wanted to avoid.
They did not respond.
The item was sent by FedEx and I had to pay $35.12CDN brokerage on delivery.
OemKings refused to reimburse my PayPal account, stating that they "had to ship by the methods in the eBay listing".
Note that FedEx was not mentioned in their listing.
Currently, OemKings is credited with close to 50,000 transactions on eBay.
This puts them in a position where negative feedback from an individual buyer has little effect on their overall rating.
Conversely, when OemKings post a a reciprocal negative feedback in retaliation, this has a major impact on the ordinary eBayer...
... to the point that one has to consider whether it is worth having your own rating downgraded.
In that vein, they have adopted an arrogant "I couldn't care less" attitude.
In support of my contention, note that the negative plus neutral feedback ratings total 11.5% over the last month.
This is a far cry from the posted 97.4% positive rating that OemKings currently enjoy.
