Ive seen quite a few people spending way too much money on theres and I figured id drop my 2 cents in on the subject, Personally the ONLY difference between the military issue oakley boots made for Force Recon and the normal assault boots a civilian can buy at your local Oakley store or whatever is that the Military Issue ones have 8 inch tread instead of the 6 inch normal assault oakley boots have. Also due to needing to be tactical there is no Oakley Insignia in chrome or anything on the military issue boot.

Personally I dont think they are worth the money, yea if your in service and the military gives them to you then ya they are great... because they are free as the shooters glasses and everything else is that you get. But for the normal civilian the extra 2 inches of tread and no chrome insignia isnt really worth the extra money now is it? I know personally these boots arent any type of fun to run in and they either fit ya right or they dont... I personally dont even think they breathe well. So I definately urge ya to think twice before spending more than you need to for boots you dont need.
