For the summer of 2008, the Oakley Orokr Pro averaged about 200-250 dollars. It retails here in Modesto, Ca for 250 before tax. Lenses are what you would expect from Oakley...they are almost perfect (if there is such a thing). They reflect water from rain and sprinklers well. Oil from the skin is resistive but it will eventually find its way to the lenses.
Phone quality and MP3 streaming are good. I would say the phone out performs the music (perhaps more data streaming is involved), but realize bluet0oth technology is still evolving and it is subject to occasional interference. Example- On my Mtn. Bike I must mount the phone on the handlebars or on my arm, or under the seat in a storage bag...anywhere BUT the waist area down. This location causes more intereference.
Its really not oakley's fault or Sony (W580i) it seems to rear its head with most phones and its a rare thing to get a perfect match. Dont let me scare you out of the purchase...streaming is way cool and storage isn't an issue. JUST expect a few bumps once in a while.
If I would do it all again would I? Yes, with both feet. Oakley is a bit limited on the lense options but hey limited is better than none and this unit keeps me legal for the California hands free roads and wire free on the bike.
Battery life is as advertised. Frame creaks like every other pair of Oakleys ever made,,,but the unit is light and stout. Happy Hunting !
