ORECK XL UPRIGHT VACUUM BAGS
When Oreck first brought out the Oreck XL upright, they used 1 type of bag.
However David Oreck and his son Tom Oreck designed a new type of docking system, this allows the bag to be shut closed when you remove it to change it. The new system was called the Docking system, it worked with a flap.
All Vacuums made after 1997 have this new system, apart from the Commercial range. The commercial range, probably the best vacuums on the market for homes, hotels and offices, is tougher, stronger and more hard wearing. It has to cope with employees using it. Cleaning companies such a MOLLY MAID use it and throw them in the back of thier cars. The plastic flap would not cope with the abuse that these vacuums get. All the Commercial upright orecks, even the current models made today DO NOT use the docking system.
What type do I have ??
Does your vacuum have a plastic flap that pull down and allows you to slide the bags in, and then snap it shut? If the answer is yes, thats the docking system. You need bags that state for the docking system or have CC on them.
If not you have a commercial vacuum or a model made pre 1997. You require non-docking bags. I and some other sellers do have pictures of this on items to help. I hope this helps. Mark
