MID CENTURY MODERN MAKERS JEWELRY LINEN GLASS POTTERY
In a brief and loose sense, Mid Century Modern is defined as between 1945 to 1965.
The war was over. A collective sigh of relief and high optimism drove the nation. New inventions, the future was now... everyone could take part.
From science to fashion, kitchen gadgets to cars and tools, inventors were everywhere. An unbridled enthusiasm sweep the nation. With their new futuristic large finned cars, Americans traveled, and gathered souvenirs.
Bakelite and celluloid gave way to lucite, and hard plastics.
The Atomic future look melded and sat with the Art Deco designs.
