KIDNEY STONES
Kidney stones, known as renal calculi, are accumulations of mineral salts that get stuck in a the urinary tract. Ten percent of American men and about 3% of women will get kidney stones at some time in their life. About 80% of all kidney stones are calcium type stones. Risk factors for kidney stones include low urine volume, Crohn's disease, diets high in oxalic acid, and low body pH factor. It is a good idea to increase the amount of good distilled water to 3 quarts a day for people suffering from kidney stones.
