Just a quick thought re: those 'cute' plug covers. If I were a new Mom, I'd want all the things in my baby's room to match and be perfect too, EXCEPT plug covers. In my opinion, something as dangerous as electrical outlets should draw as little attention as possible to the baby. Putting colourful themes or familiar characters is asking for that baby to be curious about that area of the wall. That piece of fabric or wall border or sticker that is glued/decoupaged onto the plastic safety plug CAN come loose or peel off, thus creating a choking hazard for your little one. I would never purchase outlet covers or outlet plates that are in the theme of my nursery, for fear that they would indeed perk my baby's interest and create a potentially hazardous situation for him/her. Lightswitch plates are adourable, and they don't pose a death risk from shock, nor (if wrapped in fabric or wall border) create a choking risk. These of course, are just my thoughts. You will never see me sell safety outlet plug covers on my crafted listings. I"m not completely certain what the liability issues are if a baby were to choke and have an anoxic brain injury or death resulting from a product I've made, but I would not be willing to find out in the case of plug covers. Just food for thought...(**My husband suggested actually painting the covers and safety plugs the same colour as the wall, so the baby doesn't even know it exists. I'm not sure that interior latex paint would adhere that well to plastic, but if I were at that stage with my kids, I'd give it a whirl and see if it worked**)
