I have been reading reviews written by other e-bay members warning against FAKE items sold on E-Bay.  They have suggested that if the price is low, it's fake!  Not always...some e-bayers have wholesale ID numbers which allows them to purchase authentic items at wholesale.  The whole idea of e-bay is to bring customers lower prices than retail.  What do you think the manufacturers of authenics items really have invested in the product itself?  Think about it...  I happen to know that authentic designer handbags (no names mentioned here) may have $25.00-$75.00  in a product priced retail for $1500.00!!!   If I happen to come across an authentic piece for lets say $200.00 would you want me list it for $1200.00 just so you will think its authentic?  Absolutely NO!!!  Yes, there are scammers on e-bay, but they will list the price high as well as low! 

In my research, I have found that the writers of some "Beware of fakes items" guides to be selling the same product they are writing about at HIGH prices!  Does this suggest to you that maybe they are trying to bring the readers to their auctions in order to sell their products?  I found one (no names) to state that if the price is too low, move on...but their items on the same products are relatively low!!!

Personally, I will not pay $1500.00 for a handbag, watch or a pair of sunglasses just for the name!  They all wear out and break the same!  If you purchase on e-bay an item by a designer, let's say a big name purse that would sell retail for $2000.00 but you buy it for $499.00 would you really care if it's authentic as long as it's real leather?  Who is really going to know?  And how long do women carry their purses before they tire of them and want something more fashionable?  If the purchased item satisfies you, wear it, carry it, show it with pride that you didn't pay retail! 

As a final thought...alot of handbag, sunglasses and watches are sold at outlet stores.  SOME say they don't...but they do!  Just for instance to quote one writer "if it's real, then there will be 4 stitches no more just 4 near the fob (handbag).  If it's from an outlet store, then there may be 1 or 2 more or less stitches, there may be a scratch, perfect items are not sold in outlet stores, but again who cares as long as you didn't pay retail!!!
