Auto-Close Gate
The Auto-Close Gate, manufactured by North States Industries, is a popular, award-winning gate that is great for babies and pets. It's safe and easy to use because it gently, automatically closes and locks. In addition, the Auto-Close Gate is certified by the Juvenile Products Manufacturers' Association.

If your opening falls between two width size combinations go with the combination for the smaller width. For example, for a 63.75 inch opening use the combination for 61 to 63.5 inches.
Do not use more than 3 extensions with a gate.
Always install with screws if mounting gate to top of stairway.
Note about the above chart - With certain opening sizes you will not use the 2-Bar extension that comes with the gate. You can discard the 2-Bar, or store it for future use.
What do I need to know before purchasing the Auto Close Gate?
This gate is not a typical hardware or pressure mount. It combines elements of both. The gate attaches to the wall or door frame with adhesive pads. (The wall needs to be solid.) Cups are combined with spindles, and wheels to allow you to tighten the gate. This gate also has optional screws for wallpapered walls and for top-of-stairs use. So, the pads are permanent, attached with adhesive, and the cups, spindles, and wheels provide pressure. When the gate is permanently taken down the adhesive can be removed from woodwork with a little adhesive remover. Walls may need a little touch-up with spackle and paint.
The top and bottom of the gate adjust separately, so this gate works well with high baseboards.
