My Mother recalled seeing a Norman Rockwell painting at The Norman Rockwell Museum titled at the time. Tides Of  Memory. She asked me to try to find it for her ,or at the very least a print of it. My search pulled up nothing. So I contacted the Musuem and found out that there had indeed been a painting there fitting that description but the title in itself was from a story in an Oct. 1936 issue of American Magazine.

The Painting itself is now in a private collection and no prints were ever made of it. I was delighted to find it on eBay and sure enough there it was in this American Magazine Oct.1936 issue along with a wonderful story called Tides of Memory. Needless to say my Mother was quite pleased.

It's amazing what a little persitence and determination can do. With a little help from from eBay as well.
