I've been using Picture Manager to upload, sort and store the photos for my eBay listings. I've been doing it frequently enough that it has become second nature to me. Especially since as a power seller subscribed to Picture Manager the additional photos in a listing via Picture Manager were free.
Not any more!
Yikes! I noticed an alert that Picture Manager will no longer be available after August 2009, and today when I tidied up my eBay Store header I saw a notice that I would not be able to use Picture Manager to to add any photos to the header.....
Now what?
So I followed my nose and read as much information as I could find - in a bit of a panic as I have a few thousand pics holed up somewhere in eBay land and I'm not sure what will happen to them!
We're discontinuing Picture Manager after August, 2009.

Adding Pictures To Your Listing
Free options and upgrade option
Using Self-hosting for your pictures
I have read each and every page, I hope you do too - to prepare for the changes.
I think self-hosting is the answer for me but I'm still not completely sure, and we can upload one photo for free and pay a fee to upload more photos. I really feel the more photos the better for my customers to see what they are getting. Sometimes my words seem totally clear to me, but I'll get an email from a buyer asking about something they noticed in one of my photos and I neglected to mention. Many photos from all angles have saved the day more than once!
I need to read more.
Anyway - just a heads up, and a few pages to click on for more info - hope you find your way through this decision making process, I'm sure there will be more notification as August nears.
