My husband and I purchased a Nintendo Wii for our 6 year old for her good grades in school. When we first purchased it I wondered if $250 was a bit overboard for the game system. We called all over, as far as 4 to 5 cities away from us, to find this sold out item in June 08. I couldn't believe we couldn't find it and it had been out for some time now. But when I did find a store that had 1 left we rushed over to purchase it, I just had to see this thing that everyone was talking about.

When we got it home we kept saying that we mainly brought it for our daughter and that we would get her more controllers and nunchucks for her to be able to play with other people. Well as it turns out this thing was SO COOL! We went to Gamestop and purchased $400 in accessories and games for it! I mean we brought 2 guns, 4 games, 3 nunchucks, and 3controllers!

We were addicted!

The system has a SD card slot where you can put in your camera or cellphone memory card so you can watch your pictures on a slide show. You can also draw on the pictures (doodle) or make your own pictures into a jigsaw puzzle. You can make yourself as a Mii and play in the games that you get as your Mii. You can download more games to your system for cheaper than the store value. You don't have to worry about purchasing memory cards for any of your Wii games!

If you had a Gamecube you can play all your games on the Wii system with the original controller that can be plugged into the top of the Wii system. The Gamecube memory cards can also be inserted into the top of the Wii for saving your Gamecube games.

You can really act like you are playing bowling, baseball, tennis, and boxing by doing the actual movements infront of your television with the use of your Wii remote and Nunchucks for some games.

You can be near the tv or for better performance you can be a few feet away from the tv and sensor bar that can be put at the bottom of your television or on top.  

The graphics are pretty good using bright colorfull characters.

The sound is really good, yay Nintendo! :)

I would recommend this system if you have always been a fan of Nintendo systems in the past. It's new and different from other systems. This machine also has a parental control feature to prevent children from playing older people games.

This system also has a built in wireless internet connection! I didn't find this out until someone told me 2 to 3 months after I brought it.

You can do surveys with other people around the world on the Main Wii Page which is fun too.

This would be a A+ for any parent that is considering getting their child a gaming system.

As a adult I LOVE IT! And again, if your into Nintendo games you will love it too!
