If there is a shoe brand of excellence... it's Nike .
If there is a shoe line of excellence.. i'ts the Nike Air Max .

If you've read my guides, you know that I am a huge fan of the Nike Air Max series - and consider them to be the greatest sneaker line produced. The Air Max 95 , Air Max 97 , Air Max Solas , etc...

But I will say that when the Air Max 2003s arrived - I was disappointed - not because they are poor shoes, but because they are definitely a weak link within the Air Max tradition. While the Nike Air Max 2003s are still strong running shoes, they don't have the uniqueness or fashion fo the 95s or 97s - instead, they are too one-colored and basic for me. They still provide full sneaker air bubbles, good stability and support - so the form is there, but the fashion isn't as exciting as its predecessors.

I still rate the Nike Air Max 2003 a solid 4/5... and I am happy to report that the Air Max 2004 and Air Max Solas sneakers don't disappoint!
