I found the Nicole Miller Snugli carrier to be a life savior as a new mom.  Once my daughter was able to support her own head, I could strap her into the carrier and do house work and excersise.  It was truly a lifesaver! 

The side straps made it easy for me to get her in and out while it was strapped onto me.  It always stayed in place and it was so comfortable for her, she never stayed awake in it more than 10 minutes :-)  The color is nice and it was easy to clean.  It has many pockets for items such as keys and money.
