Here are a few tips that will help you in your quest to find a nextel cell phone.
Here are a few tips that will help you in your quest to find a nextel cell phone.
- Find a seller that ONLY sells cell phones. (this will be a bit better because he or she can answer your questions much better than others that sell anything from shoes-to-curtains)
- Ask about the warranty, or return policy
- Ask about the IMEI (Serial Number) on the sprint nextel phones The reason behind this is, that if you cannot activate a new line on your account, you basically have a trash phone UNLESS you already have an active sim card, in which case you can just swap your sim card and it should work fine.
- MORE ON IMEI - If you do not have an active sim card with Nextel DO NOT BUY a phone with a bad IMEI because Nextel will tell you that the phone is on a thing called the Negative List or 'Stolen' is the preffered term of most nextel employees. When a phone is on the negative list it can simply mean that the phone was traded in and the number was never switched off a persons account, however it shows up as "unavailable" and therefore say stolen which can cause many issues between You and the Seller. (Verify this before buying!)
- Ask the seller if the phone is Used New or Refurbished. This can seem like a dumb question BUT it can save you money and wasted time.
simply because if the phone the seller claims 'new' may not be new, it may be refurbished to look new. however some phones start having issues if the phone was not refurbished properly. - We also carry many nextel models, we will answer any questions you may have.
