Seeing how much videogames have changed over the years, it may seem hard to choose which system will be your next. All 3 of the next-gen consoles are special in their own way.

In this guide, I will tell you briefly about each system. I will also include what the strengths and weaknesses are.

Xbox 360 : $300-400

The Xbox 360 is the first next-gen console to be released. It was released as a core system and premium version. The core includes the system with a wired cord controller. In the premium, you recieve not only the system, but a wireless controller, HDTV plug ins, an Xbox Live headset, a 20 GB hard drive. It has been hard to find for quite awhile, but now you can find it in most stores. When it was first released, there were reported problems of overheating and other problems. I believe that many of these problems were caused by the user, rather than the system. I have personaly seen games crashing during gameplay though. While I played Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, it seemed to work perfect. So I assume this is just a problem with some games.

Good: You can get next-gen gaming now, and also the best online play.

Bad: Problems with crashing, overheating, and expensive games.

Nintendo Wii: $250

Nintendo's next-gen system was codenamed Revolution, and was changed recently to Wii. Many things are unknown about the system specs, but the controller may be the biggest revolution to gaming yet. With the new controller, your movement is in the game. Turn the controller, and your hand in the game will do the same. This feature will be in most games, and may or may not change the way people think of games. Nintendo is also releasing an online market, where you can buy many of the classic games you played as a kid.In the past week, Nintendo finally let out the details of when the Wii will launch and how much it will cost, which is November 19th, 2006 at the price of 250. In the package, you will recieve the console, the nunchuck controller, the wiimote, and Wii Sports.

Good: More innovative compared to Sony and Microsoft, Lots of release titles.

Bad: Graphics so far are comparable to Gamecube.

Playstation 3: $600

The Playstation 3 or PS3 has been announced to be launched for $600, which may be a problem for casual gamers. Compared to other consoles, this is quite a price to pay. If you consider it's Blue-Ray DVD player, huge hard drive, and super computer like graphics, it may sound a little better. After E3 in 2006 though, it seemed that Sony may be having trouble with it's "mind blowing" console. Sony copied Nintendo with it's motion sensors, and a bad job on top of that. Also, they had to strip the rumble feature, which has been in both the PS1 and PS2. There has not been a confirmed date of release, but I guess we will really see what the PS3 is capable of when it comes out.

Good: Life like graphics, and great exclusive games

Bad: The high price, and unneccessary features that make it cost that much.

Well I hope that you know a little more about what is coming in the future. Be sure to check out my eBay for cheap videogames.
