Negative Feedback:

Negative Feedback is where either the seller or the customer have gone wrong some where during the transaction!

A few simple rules to apply as a Seller:

Always answer a question before a customer places a bid or at least before your listing ends, so the customer can cancel their bid if you don't tell them something they wanted to know!
Always inform your customer what forms of payments you take
Always answer the email from the customer  
 
As a seller learn that you can not please every customer, no matter how hard you try!!!
 
I have learned this over my many years here on ebay, As a seller I have decided it to be wise for me to set up my system to only return feedback to my customers after they have left feedback for me, & it states so in every one of my listings, Thus a understanding from the buyer before they ever bid on one of my items.
 
Don't care what anyone says about feedback being left after the buyer leave it 1st, I noticed no matter what you have done for some customers, They will give a negative just because they woke up on the wrong side of life that morning, Even if they got a Brand New item, with Free s/h, & It was gift wrapped for them, They will still complain, Just because they can!

A few simple rules to apply as a Customer:

Be sure & pay for your item/items purchased ASAP
Don't wait 7 to 20 days after you have clicked on the commit button to run out & get a money order or mail out a check to your seller, Get paypal, it is fastest way to pay & it is the safest ( not only for you the customer, but also the seller )
 
Always ask a question before placing a bid
Always inform your seller how you intend to pay, if you are not using paypal ( thus letting the seller know when they can expect a payment from you )
Always answer the email from the seller

Both Sellers & Customers:

Seller & Customers:

Should communicate through ebay, As a seller communicate to the customer what you are selling in your listing, Be very clear, Don't try & pull one over on the customer, If it has a small chip, list that!

Sellers:
 
If you are going to send out 5 small stuffed animals a customer purchased from 5 different listing you had on ebay for $6.95 each & only $1.00 discount off s/h for each additional purchased,  making the total for s/h $6.95 +$5.95 + $5.95 + $5.95 + $5.95 = $30.75 s/h for those 5 small stuffed animals (That can ship in a Flat Rate priority box that holds weight can go 70lbs for only around $9.00 any where USA) Then you as a seller should clearly state that in the listing, & If you have made a mistake about the s/h FIX it for your customers before they pay, Simply send a invoice yourself to the customer!
If the customer has all ready paid you, Send them some of the money back through a paypal refund! Having a handling charge is okay, But not $5.00 on every one of your items sold to the same customer, Sellers need to adjust it when it come to a customer buying more then one item from you!
 
As a customer, Know your rights:
 
Paypal will protect you from a seller who has charged you $30.00 s/h to send a item that cost them $5.00 to ship, So will ebay, neither company believes in HIGH s/h charges, They do allow a seller to charge a few dollars for a handling fee, BUT not $25.00, So report your sellers, That will put a Stop to HIGH s/h charges on ebay!
 
Seller & Customers:
 
Should Always & only ask/answer question through the ebay system, Block your email address, giving them no other choice but to use the ebay message system, THIS gives you the seller & customer a little protection, like WHEN someone says: They never said that ( ebay & paypal both can see every message sent & received in the ebay message system )
