I've been wanting to write this guide for some time.It is a delicate subject but yet I feel the need to talk about it because I have had so much good feed back from my customers with disabilities who have purchased the moosehide and sheep skin moccasins. They tell me over and over that the natural materials actually help prevent sores, and painful leisons, adjust to swelling, itching feet, legs etc. Some recommend the natural moosehide mocassins others swear by the natural deerskin or sheepskin but enough people are saying these things  that I think they may be onto something.
This is by no means a accurate research project. I know my items are a bit more expensive than some of the other brands which use third world labor and cheaper grade hides, materials. I know in most part these moccasins I sell have a different, better feel to them. That is why I wore the product myself years before I started selling them? I could tell they were the best moccasins in the world as soon as I pulled that first pair on at Gerald and June Demer's Trading Post at Agawa Bay,Canada 20 or more years ago.
My customers  also say they can tell the difference in "how these quality moccasins "feel "over the others too.I ask them what do you mean?  They say ,"they just have a better feel to them."Some of my customers have had painful surgery and just want mocassins to slip on so their feet look and feel nice. Others actually make the moosehide adjustable by cutting out the backs and arranging ties so when their feet and legs swell they can adjust the moccasin or boot to  accommodate their feet. I have had people quietly ask if I happen to have one moccasin  to wear where a foot has been removed. All they need is one moccasin. I have been capable of satisfying a few of these requests.
I actually believe that the more you can avoid synthetics next to your body you are better off, anywhere your body has been injured it is more sensitive, I think over time that the dyes, chemicals, and how the hide is tanned into the leather affects our feet. I also think the feet and how they feel have a lot to do with how we feel all over. That is why I say happy, happy feet make a happy person! Many wheel chair bound persons like a nice natural sheeps wool seat pad to make their seats more comfortable in summer and winter. I found that sheepswool or lambswool seat covers are less tiring than the sythetic seats over the long hauls and miles in my moccasin wagons. I remember all the special purchases of moosehide or sheepskin moccasins by persons confined to wheelchairs. The smile of comfort!Hmmmmmmm.
We have a few places on our body that if they aren't taken care of we can become meaner than a junk yard dog. The feet are a good place to start!
I just got back from the World Shoe Show in Las Vegas,Nevada. I couldn't believe how cowboy boots were all the rage again out there.Man, are the new ones ever beautiful and stylish ! I was tempted to bring a few back to sell they were soooooo pretty! Some of them looked like expensive vases. Very Beautiful! My experience in the past the better the leather in a cowboy boot, the better the comfort too but I never found a cowboy boot as comfortable as a mocassin ! It is really true when I was selling in the WEST, I had working  cowboy after cowboy hobble bowlegged up to my fruitstand by the road and buy a pair of nice top of the line moosehide moccasins. They seem to know instinctively which ones they are. They would  keep them on and ask me to bag the boots! They usually left with that nice smile of comfort, from ear to ear that matched their bowed legs!
I think the only thing a cowboy boot is good for other than beauty is to ride saddled horses in a working situation! Boots are just a part of the tools of the trade! I know I have women customers who just love to ride their horses with moccasin covered toes digging in  bareback of some paint or palomino riding full tilt into the sunset!

Maybe the whole secret to life is just to keep it all simple and natural!

Try this out when you come home after being on your feet all day just slip on a nice thick cotton sock! On the other foot put yor best thick synthetic(Nylon)or some other sock, which foot feels the best after a couple of hours.Think what a nice thick worn  double moosehide moccasin that fits snug to the skin would feel like!
You mocassin people of experience should write your guides and reviews here on Ebay. What really works for you and what is a bunch of baloney? The moccasin and shoe people are experimenting all the time to improve their product.Write a brief review or Guide here! Let us know what is working for you!Everyone is different we know that for sure!
I think everyone else on EBay would like to hear from you for a change! Enough of my ramblins for awhile!
Sincerely,
Woody
