Greetings Fellow Collectors

Hobby of collecting Nascar diecast is truly enjoyable to all of us who are dedicated to the sport and our favorite drivers. Best way to collect is to look for bargains on E BAY !

Buying at retailers can be very expensive and kind of takes the fun out of adding to the collection.Nothing is better than getting the cars you desire at a price that is reasonable and affordable.

You are just getting started collecting decide which scale you would like to collect. The general rule of thumb: Larger the scale of the model - higher the cost.

1/64 Scale

Inexpensive, yet fun way to collect is to start with the 1/64 scale models. They generally run just a couple of bucks and if you have limited space for collection (must of us) they do not take up as much room. You can display over 100 1/64 scale models in nice plastic display case on wall in a space 3' by 3'. The cars do not have to be massive to make an impressive quality display you can be proud of. I have found a great and inexpensive way to collect alot of 1/64 scale at a bargain price is to buy them in bulk lots. Many people seem to grow weary of their collection and will list the entire lot they own.Auctioned as a  bulk lot. The cars do not usually sell for even half their value. You may get a few cars you dislike in your purchase, but you can easily dispose of them and get the cars you desire by simply listing them on E Bay for auction ! When listing cars, list them at No Reserve. You will find when you include NR in Title of ad,people will swarm to it in droves ! Try to keep your shipping costs as reasonable as possible.Veteran E Bayers are quickly discouraged from bidding when they see high shipping costs. When developing your ad,remember the importance of high quality pictures. You can be the best orator in the word, but nothing will sell faster than an ad which has high quality pictures.

1/24 Scale Collecting

The larger the scale: The harder to collect for many reasons, previously I mentioned cost. Now we are concerned about number of cars manufactured. The fewer manufactured the higher the cost and increased difficulty in finding exactly waht you want.

I prefer collecting Action diecast because I find that the overall quality are much higher than other brands.Go for the models which have opening hoods and trunks ! The ones which have opening flaps on top are REALLY cool too.

Shame but some people on E Bay attempt to con folks by not providing exact description of car. They buy inexpensive cars at Walmart, etc and try to pass them off as high quality models at auction.Ask seller exact questions when bidding on cars,if they are reputable, they will readily answer all your questions.Look for 1/24 scale which include their original boxes. This helps to authenticate the brand of model.

Check out the pics in their ads closely. Are the pictures too dark ? Are they blurry ? Can you see the brand name in pic ? All these are possible indicators to use caution when bidding.Reputable sellers will make sure the listing is as clear as possible in ad.

Shame that you have to be careful with some sellers, but that is the way of the world sometimes.

1/24 Scale Sprint

You will find the quality sprint cars (Action) sell at higher prices generally than the Nextel Cup cars. They are really nice models and have alot of incredible detailing. Again,I would recommend only purchasing Action diecast.Sprint cars make really impressive displays because of the high detailing of model and the basic design of the cars allow for impressive paint schemes and logos.

1/24 Craftsman truck series

This are much harder to find than any other Nascar diecast.Possible the demand for them in market is not as great. I do not currently collect them but would like to do so someday.( just need more room )

1/8 Scale

These are rare and amoung the most expensive to collect. You wish for a small colection of just a few cars, this may be the way you wish to go.

They are not as easy to find as the other scale models of Nascar. Make sure you have alot of space for display when collecting these giant scale models.

Diecast display cases

They can easily be found on E Bay. I like the wall display cases, they can hold up to over 100 1/64 scale. The cases are made for any scale you collect.

Display cases for 1/24 scale hold over 20 models. You collect 1/24 scale sprint you will need a case specifically for the sprint cars. They will not fit in most standard 1/24 display cases.

Definately you would prefer to have your collection in display case. Exposure to dust is deliterious to your precious collection. You have probably attempted to clean collectables of some sort and it is extremley difficult to get all the dust removed from them,if not impossible.

Bidding at auction

When you see the model listed at auction that you have been searching for,it is easy to go crazy bidding. Go to the Internet and do a search for the model and find the retail price before you go off the deep end bidding ! Nothing wrong with paying a fair price for what you want at auction, but why pay more than you need to for what you want ?

You see the price of the model go extremely high, use patience. You will see the same model listed sometime in the future and hopefully it may auction at a lower price.

Fell free to pass a mesasage if you have any questions in collecting. I may not be able to answer all quaestions, but I may be able to provide you with information so you can get the answer.

No matter what you collect, just make sure you are getting the maximum amount of fun as possible.

Pleasurable to add the new model to display for everyone to enjoy !

Communication is the Key !

Fell free to pass a mesasage ! Especially if you have any info for our fellow collectors, which could be placed in this guide.

I would greatly appreciate your feedback in regard to this guide.Fell free to message me with your assessment.

Collectors are great people and like most fantastic people, They get that way from sharing information and taking care of each other !

Have a fantastic day and many successful additions to your collections !!
