The allergist recommended this treatment for severely swollen, congested nasal passages. I use it when I have a cold and flush out the congestion from my sinuses.
Flush 3-6 times per day with salinated water, following the recipe below:
Special Nasal Wash for Allergies
Use 1 16oz water bottle with warm water
add 1 Tbsp. of Kosher salt and 1/4 tsp of Baking soda (Put dry ingredients in Baggie and shake it up)
NOTE: At first use only 1 tsp. to avoid burning sensation. Also don’t inhale, just squirt in nose. You can also make a humming noise to avoid inhaling the bad stuff. It will clear your sinuses, the throat area and will help clear your head of infected mucus.
We make a large amount using a baggie and the 4 parts Kosher salt to 1 part Baking soda recipe. Then just put a teaspoon in a water bottle with warm water and using a baby bulb syringe squirt it slowly up your nose. Why pay money for someone to mix you the same thing when you can do it your self for a fraction of the cost, and using items you most likely have around the house?
