This is written in response to a fraudulent guide posted by a very dishonest and misinformed person filled with spite and outright lies written about Dillion guitars from Canada and the people that sell them. It seems you should take most of what you read in the guides with a grain of salt seeing as anyone without any true knowledge of the situation can post false information in the forum of a guide here on e-bay and they will allow it without any confirmation of the facts or concern about who it hurts.

I don't think these guides were meant to act as a revenge tool or as a platform to spread false information about a company or product. It’s a shame e-bay allows such things to be posted. If you have a problem with a company or product then actually contacting them should resolve it. Remember that posting false information on the internet may be potentially illegal, so get your facts straight before going on a rant or you might wind up in legal trouble.

As an authorized online dealer for Dillion guitars here in Canada and someone who actually knows the ins and outs about Dillion guitars I hope that this posting should carry a little more weight and help dismiss the rumors and lies.

Apparently there has been some intentional misinformation spread about the authenticity of Dillion guitars from Canada by some people involved in the distribution and selling of Dillion guitars in the US. Please note that Dillion Guitars Canada is the pioneer of Dillion guitars. The development of Dillion guitars along with the name originated here in Canada so saying that a Dillion guitar from Canada is a fake is not only ludicrous, its completely FALSE!

As of 2007 Dillion Canada and Dillion US have split and are now two completely separate entities offering different products from different sources. Dillion Canada no longer supports or supplies any guitars or the use of its Korean factory to the US distributor and thus Dillion US will only warrantee their own US market guitars. Dillion Canada offers a limited lifetime warrantee on all of our guitars which is available to all worldwide customers. This warrantee only applies to Canadian market Dillions sold by Canadian dealers.

We have no affiliation with the Dillion US website or its owner and its content does not apply to any Dillion guitars offered by Dillion guitars Canada. Country of origin, stickers on headstocks, etc… have nothing to do with the legitimacy of a Dillion guitar. Both Canada and the US offer different products under the Dillion name made in different factories and different countries.

I hope this helps elevate some of the confusion and misinformation. Be smart buyers and ask questions. If you have any questions about Canadian Dillions then please contact a dealer in Canada who actually knows something about them.
