Who doesn't love chocolate and peanut butter-and who doesn't love them even more together-especially when you don't have to heat up the oven! This delicious pie is especially nice in the summer-a  cool treat that does not heat up the kitchen-who could ask for anything more!

                                          NO BAKE PEANUT BUTTER PIE

you will need:

16oz chocolate cookies

1/4 cup melted butter or margarine

1  8oz package cream cheese (any fat content) softened

2 cups confectioner's sugar

3/4 cup peanut butter (chunky or smooth)

1  12oz  container thawed frozen whipped topping-like coolwhip

crush cookies-kids love to help with this-reserve 1/4 cup combine remaing crumbs with melted butter and press into the bottom of a 9x13 inch pan

beat toether cream cheese and confectioner's sugar. add peanut butter and well blended, then gently fold in the whipped topping.

spread over the cookie base and sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs

freeze- before serving and cutting thaw 10 minutes
