My first digital camera was the d2h.  And last November I had to send it into Nikon for repairs at a most crucial time.  I had a Jack Russel Show in just over a week and repairs were not going to be done in time to use it.  So, at the last minute I was checking out Nikon's website to see what would be a good replacement that wasn't going to empty my wallet.  I called my trusty camera supplier and we both decided that I would get the Nikon d70s.  Now I am not the type to open manuals and pour over them until I know that particular piece of equipment inside and out before I even turn it on.  Actually just the opposite.  Learn first and read on a have to know basis.  Anyway to make this short, I purchased the d70s and right away found it to be user friendly.  I had just about 12 hrs before I would need it for the show.  I am a sports, etc. photographer and found this little camera to be impressive.  The lag time (very minimal) was easy to overcome as I shoot barrel horse events, drag racing, trail rides and mx racing.  For the regular retail market it's at the high range of the pricing but you get all the bells and whistles and it's easy to hold for long shoots where I have to spend hours shooting at a time.   So, for you moms and dads who have baseball players or sports players in the family, this is the camera you can come to rely on to get those shots of the ball on the bat, sliding into the bases, etc.

I prefer this camera over my d2h because it's more user friendly, lightweight, uses the same quality lens, was priced affordably and the pictures are GREAT!  I had thought that my 2nd camera needed to be another d2h or better but since I have bought this one and used it for almost a year, I have come to appreciate my decision and am exceedingly glad to have discovered this little workhorse.  The battery will last me hours upon hours.  All I do is turn it off after each picture and turn it back on before getting ready for the next shot.  In doing that I make sure that my camera will not play out on me at a busy time.  I sure hope this helps anyone thinking of purchasing this camera.  Thank you,
