New ebayer's are being taken advantage of everyday. "GREEN-HORN'S they call us. IMPORATANT: before you bid- make sure you read everything. Here are some following tip's to watch for. You bring up an item that spark's your interest. So, you decide to bid. BUT_WAIT_before you click that mouse.

I bid on a "LOT" of necklaces. I won the auction at a very inexpensive price. But, when I got to the check out- I discovered something very interesting and upsetting. The shipping cost was $25.00. WHAT??? Not really understanding eBay yet, I thought I had no other choice but to pay for the product. Because I did not want bad feedback etc....

When the item was finally received from the seller, I looked at the shipping labels and find that it only cost the seller $8.95. Way less than I had paid. THIS IS VERY UNFARE AND UNREASONABLE.

MY ADVICE: Get a shipping rate chart from your local post-office. when begining to bid on a item-make sure you first check to see what they are charging for shipping cost. If it seems unreasonable-"do not bid on that item".....

Also watch for auction's that are out of the country. They can be tricky. It may look like  U.S. Dollars but if you look real close-you'll see GBP or something simular. You could be bidding on something that looks in expensive but when conveted over to their curency, could end up costing you thousand's of dollar's. Most of us don't have thosand's of dollar's just hanging around in our checking account's. Consider this: if you paid by pay-pal not realizing what was going  on-you could end up in some real trouble with your bank....

Other problem's I've run into: I bid on an auction for a doll that was listed as a boy. I was also bidding on a simular doll that was a girl doll on another auction. Because I'm not an experienced doll collector-I had no idea that they never made a boy doll. I believed there lie and was duped. Upon the arrival of the doll to my house I find that it was a girl doll that someone had cut the hair off and stuck a little boy's outfit on. Here's the sad part: I paid 25.00 plus shipping for the suposed to be boy doll and when I won the auction for the girl doll I paid half of that price, and she was the real thing.

Here is something ele's to watch for: I bid on some very pretty blouses in my size. This also happen's to be an e-bay store....Has a reputation behind it that seemed to be very outstanding. When the blouses arrived at my door, I opened them up excitedly............And found they were 2 sizes smaller than I wear. Even though the tag's indicated the size I ordered. When emailing the seller of this problem, I got no response. When getting unto the store site again, I finally read, it stated that no return's were allowed. So, I was stuck with two blouses that I can not wear.

Simular experience happend when ordering my son a pair of men's short's, size 29-30 waist. When they arrived they end up being a little boy's size 14-16.

I do my best to do unto other's as I would have them to do unto me. As I'm finding not everyone is this way. Sometimes GREED get's in the way and money seem's to be more important to some, than moral values.

We usually learn from mistakes made- I hope you can see what I have been through and not have to go through this yourself's. Just be very aware and on alert. Be careful and make sure you read everything, before you bid.

Also, email someone and ask them a question if your unsure. eBay is losing some very honest customer's because of( like thing's) happening everyday.I'm sure there are many more thing's happening that I havent experienced. I Pray that your not a victim to GREED and unfairness. eBay is not to blame, it's their seller's giving them a bad name.
