I am certain that a few of us have been fooled by some not so reputable sellers and heres a little something I found out the hard way. I am kind of embarrassed to post this but in hopes of sharing my misfortune with others on here that we can nip these crooks in the bud!
Example - You go to purchase what you think is an authentic item for a birthday or Xmas present until you wait 2 or 3 weeks for the shipment that never arrives. Suddenly, the worry sets in and the seller suddenly is no longer an active eBay member.
I am simply posting this small buyer beware posting / guide is just a item of notification to others on here.
Last Xmas, I was in pursuit of a Swiss Army watch. Amazed at the selections and options available not only from US and Canada as well as overseas, I could not believe it. So when I saw postings for NEW SWISS ARMY watches, I figured, wow, simply cannot be true and at such bargains. I proceeded to buy 2 of these NEW Swiss Army watches from the same seller.
I assumed what I was getting was the actual thing as the photo clearly showed the classic red & white logo but the angle of the photos were so cleverly placed that the hour hand was covering one very important thing on the face of the watch. It was the actual word NEW on the face of the watch!
The seller was selling NEW Swiss Army - which apparently is a particular brand - not the Swiss Army we all know and love. I consider myself a very savvy and smart person but even this small word "NEW" had me fooled.
I am simply writing this guide to share in the information in hopes others can find this useful!
Buyer Beware!
Ask the seller a question!
Don't jump at the first "good deal" as often, the same thing will be available from some other scammer out there. The old adage, if it is too good to be true, it probably is!
Hope everyone finds this little note useful!
